Each year, Habitat for Humanity of Omaha depends on paid interns to assist in its efforts to build and rehabilitate affordable housing for families in Douglas, Sarpy, Washington, Burt and Saunders counties in Nebraska.
This year’s crop of five construction interns and one family services intern represent five colleges and universities, including the University of Colorado, Creighton University, Kansas State University, Metropolitan Community College and the University of Nebraska Omaha. All of them share a quest for professional knowledge and to serve families through Habitat’s vision, A world where everyone has a quality, safe and healthy place to live.

Our collective impact in 2019
These numbers and the results they represent would not be possible without our many partnerships, including the one we have with you. Together, we responded to devastating floods, provided affordable home loans to families, helped individuals repair their houses, and much more.
A good day’s work
Mohamed Sedky shows up every other day ready to assist customers at Omaha’s Habitat ReStore. You will most likely find him in the donation center where he enjoys thanking people who drop off items.
An extra hand up
Julie Dodd is an office volunteer who has worked with many Habitat for Humanity of Omaha departments since she stepped foot through our doors seven years ago.
