Omaha is fortunate to have an active and engaged population of young professionals. The mission of Omaha Habitat Young Professionals (Omaha HYP) is to engage young professionals in creating positive change by promoting homeownership throughout our community in partnership with Habitat Omaha. Support Habitat Omaha While You Shop!
Did you know you can support Omaha HYP just by visiting your favorite local restaurants and businesses? It’s easy—all you have to do is download the TAGG (Together A Greater Good) app for your phone, visit one of the 100+ participating business and tell the server/cashier you would like to “TAGG” your purchase. The business will then donate 5% of your purchase to the cause of your choice. When you select Habitat Omaha, all funds will be used to support Omaha HYP as they work to eliminate poverty housing through volunteerism, advocacy and fundraising. Omaha HYP is a self-directed entity acting in support of Habitat Omaha’s mission. Its three areas of focus include:
- Fundraising – To support Habitat Omaha’s efforts in building affordable housing.
- Advocacy – To educate decision makers and the general public on poverty housing issues.
- Volunteering – To engage young professionals in Habitat Omaha’s volunteer opportunities.
