Community Effort Brings Kum & Go Sponsored Home to Omaha

In April 2017,Habitat for Humanitypartnered withKum & Goduring their national “Home is the Key” campaign for the fourth consecutive year. This year, stores in the Omaha area collected the most money as a percentage of customer traffic, securing funding of $100,000 to build a Habitat home in Omaha! The home, slated for completion in early 2018, will be purchased by Nyapak (pictured above) and her family through an affordable mortgage.Kum & Go’s support isn’t limited to Omaha – the company committed a $225,000 corporate gift to support Habitat’s mission nationwide and donated 10 cents to Habitat for Humanity for every Kum & Go water bottle purchased during the month of April.

As part of the company’s partnership, five Habitat affiliates received funding to help build a Habitat home in their community, including the one full-house sponsorship.“Kum & Go and Habitat both share a commitment to building great communities,” says Carrie Clogg, Director of Philanthropy at Kum & Go. “Through the generous contributions of our loyal customers and through the support of our store associates, Kum & Go is proud to help build this house in Omaha for a family in need.”
