Programs and Outreach

Habitat Omaha is thankful to work in an area with so many programs and resources available to help homeowners. Together, we create opportunities and a better quality of life for Omaha area families.

Neighborhood Revitalization
  • Rock the Block
A woman poses with a wheelbarrow full of dirt in the middle of a neighborhood street, on her way to help with Habitat Omaha's Rock the Block event.

The Rock the Block initiative is all about neighbors helping neighbors. During each Rock the Block event, dozens of Habitat volunteers converge on a block somewhere in the Greater Omaha area, to help with a variety of minor exterior repairs and curb appeal projects.

  • Neighborhood Clean Up

Habitat Omaha Neighborhood Clean up Days bring neighborhoods together while also making a positive impact on the environment. We rotate locations and encourage nearby residents to bring larger, bulky trash items for disposal in a dumpster. You can bring old furniture, appliances, mattresses and more. Note: please do not bring items such as paint, TVs or electronics, batteries, chemicals, propane tanks.
