Jennifer (above, right) was born in South Korea then moved to a small town just north of Bennington, Nebraska when she was adopted at five months old. She has been with Habitat for Humanity of Omaha since December 2017.
Jennifer’s is the first face you’ll see at Habitat Omaha’s office—right at our front desk.
“I answer and direct phone calls, greet and assist people who come in the front door, and assist the Family Services Program Director,” Jennifer explains.
Her days are also spent organizing, filing, and inputting Habitat Omaha homeowner information, and determining how best to contact the families.
Jennifer’s essential office items would have to be her phone and computer.
“That is what I spend most of my time using and need in order to do my job efficiently,” she says. Her music of the week is theThe Greatest Showmanmovie soundtrack.
When Jennifer first started at Habitat Omaha, she was “surprised to hear that [we] built 41 homes in 2017. This amazing number reflects the hard work and dedication from the Habitat for Humanity of Omaha family, which I am proud to be a part of.”
If you think you’d make a great addition to the Habitat Omaha team, Jennifer had this advice to share: “listen to your heart when you have a calling for social justice work.”
