Why do you like working at Habitat for Humanity of Omaha?
I love working here because we’re making a real, lasting difference in our community. Before I was hired, I never fully understood how life-changing homeownership could be, mostly because I was fortunate enough to always have a home. But once I started working here, I saw firsthand the impact a stable, affordable home has on people’s lives.
It’s not just about providing shelter—it’s about creating a sense of security, belonging, and hope. I’ve seen families light up now that they have a place to call their own. Being part of something that empowers people and helps build a stronger, more hopeful future is truly inspiring.
