How Habitat Omaha serves

Washington County

Habitat Omaha is reimagining the possibilities for more affordable housing in our community. Through the years we’ve learned it takes more than building a house. We’re building communities.

Current Developments

Building strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter

West Valley

Habitat plans to build 10 single-family homes in Blair during the next five years as part of Blair’s affordable housing Master Plan. All 10 homes will be in the West Valley neighborhood near the former Dana College campus at 24th and Nebraska Streets.

Generous building partners and other corporate partnerships make our work possible. Thank you, Washington County Bank (wcb) for your support of the improvement of the West Valley neighborhood.

How it works:
  • Qualified homeowners receive a no-interest loan to help pay for the necessary repairs. You do not need to own a Habitat home to qualify.
  • As the lender, Habitat allows homeowners to spread the home repair project expense over 1-10 years
  • Habitat Omaha serves as the general contractor, hiring only subcontractors we know and trust.
  • All home repairs and improvement work includes a 1-year warranty through Habitat Omaha.
