The Senate will soon take up the ROAD to Housing Act, legislation that would boost housing supply and affordability and reduce regulatory barriers by:

  • Increasing affordable homeownership supply
  • Broadening homeownership access
  • Improving homeownership resilience

To lower homeownership costs, extend opportunities to all Americans, and foster greater security for existing homeowners, the Senate needs to pass the ROAD to Housing Act.

We need your voice to help pass this critical legislation in the Senate. Please call Nebraska’s U.S. Senators Fischer and Ricketts right now.

Here’s what you can expect when you make your phone call:

  • Introduce yourself and state where you live (e.g., Omaha, Bellevue, etc.) and provide your contact information.
  • 1 – 2 sentences about why you support affordable housing (e.g., homes in my neighborhood are getting more expensive, my kids are getting priced out of living in our neighborhood, etc.).
  • Tell the Senate staff person that you support the ROAD to Housing Act, and that you encourage Sen. Fischer / Ricketts to support it.
  • 1 – 2 sentences about why you support the ROAD to Housing Act (see bullet points above).
  • Tell the staff person that you’ll be following this issue closely and look forward to hearing how the Senator plans to vote.
