Honorary Chairs 2025

Inspired by her father’s past involvement with Habitat for Humanity, Meredith Weitz started volunteering with Habitat Omaha in 2019 as part of the Thursday all-women crew. She enjoys getting her hands dirty, learning new skills, and creating a tangible, lasting impact for Omaha families.

Drew and Meredith met while studying at Carleton College in Northfield, Minn. Post graduation, the couple lived and worked in Minneapolis and Chicago before settling in Drew’s hometown of Omaha to raise their family.

Drew serves as a portfolio manager and co-chairman of Weitz Investment Management, and together he and Meredith serve as directors of the Weitz Family Foundation. They are also members of the advisory board for OneWorld Community Health Centers.

Drew’s volunteer activities include ongoing engagement with their alma mater, financial literacy work with local elementary students, and coaching youth soccer.
